Who we are
This website is run by Sandwich Websites, a sole-trader business. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@sandwichwebsites.co.uk or 07449 303889. You can ask us at any time for the name of the person responsible and we will tell you.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, WhatsApp us, email us, or phone us, we keep a note of what you sent: name, business, address, postcode, town, phone, email, your message, and whether you use WhatsApp.
Why we have it
Two reasons. Replying to your enquiry, and, if you become a client, doing the work. That's it. No newsletters, no retargeting pixels, no resale.
Where it lives
- Form submissions are sent as email through an email delivery service
- WhatsApp messages sit in WhatsApp, under WhatsApp's own privacy rules
- Phone and email conversations stay in our inboxes and phones
- We don't run tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify you personally
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept while they might still be useful, typically no longer than two years. Client records are kept for the duration of the project and up to six years afterwards to meet UK accounting and tax rules.
Website statistics
We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@sandwichwebsites.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold on you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted (subject to any legal retention rules). Email hello@sandwichwebsites.co.uk and we'll sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Fonts are served from this site. Images are loaded from Unsplash, which may set its own cookies under its policies. If you choose 'Don't count my visits', we store one small flag in your browser's local storage, described under Website statistics.
